Description

This project involves replacing existing stormdrain pipes with larger capacity pipes ranging from 24 to 48 inches in diameter, installing approximately 3,700 linear feet of new stormdrain pipe (36 to 42-inch diameter), and constructing new storm drain manholes, junction boxes, outfall headwalls, wingwalls, tide gates, and rock slope protection. The work also includes grading tidal channels, relocating sewer lines and manholes, adjusting water and sewer laterals, installing stormwater trash capture devices and a hydrodynamic separator, excavation and disposal of materials, and placement of marsh soils with hydroseeding. The project is located in various locations throughout the City of Eureka, California, and is funded by federal and state grants.
