Description
This is announcement constitutes a Source Sought. This announcement seeks information from industry and will only be used for preliminary planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The Jacksonville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking interest from prospective offers for a potential fiscal year (FY) 2026 award of the aforementioned project. The purpose of this sources sought is to gauge interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of the Construction Community, to include Small Businesses, as the Government must ensure there is adequate competition amongst the potential pool of responsible contractors. The Jacksonville District anticipates the issuance of an Invitation for Bid (IFB). No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to said sources sought or any follow-up information requested. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This project will restore approximately 5.5 miles of beach and dune along Anna Maria Island, in Manatee County between Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Range monuments R-12 and R-41. The fill template consist of construction of dune and beach berm as shown in the drawings. Planting of dune vegetation will take place following completion of constructed segments. Material for the project will be dredged from Borrow Areas I, II, and III, approximately 1 nautical mile offshore of Manatee County in State waters, and approximatively 3.4 nautical miles from the borrow areas to the midpoint of the fill area. Project work also includes, but is not limited to, beach tilling, vibration control and monitoring, environmental and water quality monitoring, coastal vegetation planting, sea turtle trawl-sweeping (hopper dredges only), and MEC Construction Support. The Target Price Range is between $25,000,000.00 and $40,000,000.00. The project will have an estimated period of performance of 270 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 237990, Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities. The Small Business Size Standard for this project is $37.0 million. Anticipated solicitation issuance date is on or about 24 August 2026 and the anticipated response due date is on or about 28 September 2026. The Synopsis citing the solicitation number will be issued on the SAM Contracting Opportunities Website: at https://.sam.gov/. Responses to this Sources Sought shall be limited to 5 pages and shall include the following information:1. Company/Contractor name, address, point of contact, phone number and e-mail address.2.
