This opportunity seeks qualified contractors for the Water Street Upgrades Phase 2 project in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland and Labrador. - Government Buyer: - Government of Newfoundland and Labrador (Municipal Infrastructure - TI), in partnership with the Town of Bay Roberts - Scope of Work: - Street upgrading along Water Street between Conception Bay Highway (Route 70) and Barracks Road (approx. 600 meters) - Installation of new storm sewer infrastructure: - Storm sewer mains, catch basins, ditch inlets, headwalls, and manholes - Installation of approximately 600 meters of 250 mm PVC watermain and 30 meters of 150 mm PVC watermain - Replacement of 28 water service connections from main to curb stop - Removal and reuse of roadway granulars and asphalt - New road construction: - 200 mm Class "B" granular - 100 mm Class "A" granular - 40 mm base course asphalt - 40 mm surface course asphalt - Construction of new curb and gutter on both sides of the street - Construction of new sidewalk on one side of the street - All ancillary work and reinstatement as per project drawings - Requirements: - Compliance with the Municipal Water, Sewer and Roads Master Construction Specifications (May 2024 revision) - Environmental permits required - Bonding and insurance: - 10% bid bond - 50% performance and labor/materials bonds - Work not permitted from November 15 to April 15 unless approved - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation
