Description
The Federal Communications Commission's Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau and Office of Engineering and Technology seek public comments on a proposal to prohibit the continued importation and marketing of certain previously authorized communications equipment added to the Covered List in 2024 or earlier. This equipment has been determined to pose an unacceptable risk to U.S. national security or the safety of U.S. persons. The prohibition would not affect the continued use of already-purchased equipment. The agency requests input on the national security, economic, and supply chain impacts of this proposed action, as well as on implementation timelines and potential exemptions.
