The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Twin Falls District, Idaho, is seeking qualified contractors to provide large-scale herbicide application services for fuels management across approximately 27,135 acres in multiple counties. - Government Buyer: - Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Twin Falls District, Idaho (Department of the Interior) - Contracting and oversight by BLM Idaho State Office and Shoshone Field Office - Products and Services Requested: - Herbicide and adjuvant application services (aerial and ground) - Application covers specific units such as Poison Lake Unit 3, Wedge Butte Sonners 2, Juniper Butte, Inside Lakes, Clover Creek, Bruneau, Castleford Butte, and several Fuel Breaks HMA areas - Total treatment area: approximately 27,135 acres - Includes both base and option periods for additional applications - Contractors must supply all herbicides, adjuvants, equipment, labor, and incidentals - Required herbicides and adjuvants include: - Imazapic (Alligare, BASF, Nufarm Americas) - Aminopyralid (Milestone by Dow AgriSciences, Corteva, Whetstone by Alligare) - 2,4-D (Nufarm Americas, Helena Agri-Enterprises, Alligare) - Glyphosate (Nufarm Americas, Loveland Products, Albaugh) - Adjuvants (Alligare, Loveland Products, Helena Herbicide Company) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All personnel must hold Idaho Professional Applicator Licenses - Use of GPS Differential Guidance Systems for application accuracy - Strict safety, quality control, and environmental compliance (including restrictions near military training areas) - Prohibition on certain telecommunications equipment - Detailed reporting and adherence to herbicide label instructions - Locations: - Work performed across federal lands in Lincoln, Blaine, Owyhee, Twin Falls, Elmore, Minidoka, Camas, and Jerome counties, Idaho - Key sites include Poison Lake Unit 3, Wedge Butte Sonners 2, Juniper Butte, Inside Lakes, Clover Creek, Bruneau, Castleford Butte, and multiple Fuel Breaks HMA areas - Contracting and coordination at BLM Twin Falls District Office and Shoshone Field Office Warehouse - Period of Performance: - Base application in early fall, with option applications in spring of the following year - Each application period must be completed within 9–10 working days, during regular business hours - **No specific OEMs are required, but several leading herbicide manufacturers are named as acceptable sources for products.
