Description
This project involves developing a prototype high power Radio Frequency (RF) source to transmit representative high power RF waveforms for electromagnetic compatibility and interference testing on Naval Air platforms. The goal is to protect Naval Air platforms from electromagnetic susceptibilities in high power RF environments, such as those near Navy ships. The effort focuses on modernizing test capabilities using advanced solid-state technologies like Gallium Nitride transmitters, moving away from older magnetron and traveling wave tube technologies. The project includes phases for white paper submission, solution selection, proposal release, and award.
