Description
The Office of Naval Research (ONR) and NAVAIR are jointly developing the ER-DIFAR, an over-the-side sonobuoy designed to detect extremely quiet targets at tactically significant ranges. This project aims to improve the sonobuoy's design to meet all requirements, including Air Certification, enabling testing and delivery to the fleet for analysis. The ER-DIFAR represents the first in a family of Passive Extended Range Sonobuoy Systems, enhancing naval detection capabilities.
