Howard County, Maryland is seeking a qualified construction firm to upgrade the fuel storage and dispensing system at the Department of Recreation & Parks Headquarters in Columbia, MD. - Government Buyer: - Howard County, Maryland, Office of Procurement and Contract Administration - Department of Recreation & Parks, Bureau of Facilities - Products and Equipment Requested: - Removal and demolition of three existing 10,000-gallon aboveground steel fuel storage tanks (diesel and unleaded gasoline) - Installation of two new 12,000-gallon double-walled fiberglass underground storage tanks (USTs) for diesel and gasoline - New fuel service island with reinforced concrete, stainless steel island form, and protective steel bollards - Two high-flow, twin-hose fuel dispensers (diesel and unleaded gasoline) with advanced features (meters, solenoids, registers, totalizers, pulser, stainless steel cabinets, fuel filter assemblies, hose retractors, nozzles, breakaways, swivels, emergency shear shut-off valves) - Oil/water separator system (Highland Tank Model HTC-1000 Series-G UL-SU2215 or equivalent), 1,000-gallon capacity, with sand collection chamber and accessories - Electrical system components including wiring, grounding, lighting, panelboards, conduits, boxes, lightning protection, and integration with fuel management and surveillance systems - E.J.
