Description
The Regional District of Central Okanagan is seeking expressions of interest and conducting a market sounding exercise for the Central Okanagan Joint Curbside Waste Collection Program covering 2029 to 2039. The program involves weekly garbage collection and bi-weekly yard waste collection from approximately 65,383 single-family homes across several municipalities including Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachland, and surrounding electoral areas. The waste will be disposed of at the Glenmore Landfill, and the service includes management and tracking of waste cart inventory. The contract is expected to last 10 years, starting May 1, 2029, and ending April 30, 2039.
