Nutritious Meal Preparation Services for Allegany County Meals on Wheels & Congregate Lunch Centers

Allegany County is seeking qualified vendors to provide nutritious meal preparation services for its Office for the Aging's Meals on Wheels Program and Congregate Lunch Centers. - Scope of Work: - Preparation and delivery of approximately 15,000 congregate meals and 105,000 home-delivered meals annually - Meals must meet New York State Office for the Aging (NYSOFA) nutritional standards and food safety regulations - Hot meals required Monday through Friday; frozen or chilled meals only for emergencies - Options for therapeutic, medically tailored, texture-modified, and special holiday meals - Portioning, packing, labeling, and provision of disposables included - Vendor Requirements: - ServSafe certification and compliance with all health codes - Adequate kitchen facilities (centrally located in Allegany County preferred, but alternatives considered if compliant) - Demonstrated experience with similar meal programs in New York State (minimum three references required) - Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) are encouraged to apply - Full itemized budget narrative required in proposals - Customer satisfaction and confidentiality are emphasized - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named in the solicitation - No delivery vehicles or equipment provided beyond what is detailed in the RFP - Contract Details: - Three-year base term with two optional one-year renewals - Services partially funded by program participants - Place of Performance: - Allegany County, including Alfred, Belmont, Bolivar, Canaseraga, Cuba, Fillmore, Friendship, Wellsville, and Whitesville

Allegany County is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to prepare well-balanced nutritious meals for the Office for the Aging's Meals on Wheels Program (home-based) and Congregate Lunch services (community based). The contract term is three years, with services funded in part by program participants and a focus on customer satisfaction.
