This opportunity seeks forestry service providers to perform timber marking, cruising, and silvicultural treatments in the Otter Timber Sale area of the Ottawa National Forest, Michigan. - Contract is for non-personal services: marking and cruising timber, clearcut and selection harvests, and post-harvest ecological management - Only holders of the USFS Region 9 Timber Mark and Cruise Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) are eligible to compete - Scope includes: - Marking and cruising 556–557 acres (517 acres selection harvest, 39–40 acres clearcut) - GPS location reporting of sample trees and digital data submission - Silvicultural treatments: clearcut with reserves, single tree selection, site preparation for natural regeneration - Post-harvest activities: 1st and 3rd year stocking surveys, certification of natural regeneration - Contractor provides labor, materials, and equipment (except government-furnished items like marking paint and tally cards) - Firm fixed price contract; evaluation based on past performance, price, and contract time adherence - Work must comply with Ottawa National Forest Timber Theft Prevention plan and Michigan wage determinations - Place of performance: Ottawa National Forest, Gogebic County, Michigan; contracting offices in Washington, DC and Watersmeet, MI - Period of performance: Work starts upon award, must be completed by November 30, 2026; post-harvest monitoring through 2036 - No specific OEMs, part numbers, or commercial products are required; focus is on forestry services
