The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is seeking a small business to provide high-throughput DNA sequencing services for cotton leaf samples. - Government Buyer: - United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Cotton Fiber Bioscience & Utilization Research Unit - Contracting office: USDA ARS AFM APD, 5601 Sunnyside Avenue, Beltsville, MD - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; sequencing must use the Illumina NovaSeq X 10B or a similar platform - Products/Services Requested: - DNA sequencing of 550 cotton leaf DNA samples - Includes DNA quality assessment, PCR-free library preparation, and sequencing - Each sample requires 50 Gb output - Deliverables: raw sequence reads in fasta or fastq format, delivered on a hard disk - Sequencing must be completed in a single batch for consistency - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Turnaround time: all sequencing must be completed within 45 days after receipt of samples - Evaluation factors: technical capability, relevant experience, past performance, and price - Small business set-aside under NAICS 541714 - Compliance with federal anti-discrimination laws and registration in SAM/IPP required

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0389 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Cotton DNA Sequencing Services.

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference.  The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov.
