This opportunity involves the University of Washington's search for qualified firms to provide regulated and hazardous materials professional services under a Master Services Agreement (MSA): - Government Buyer: - University of Washington (UW), Facilities Department, Project Delivery Group - Scope of Services: - On-call (as-needed) professional services for regulated and hazardous materials across UW's Seattle, Bothell, and Tacoma campuses - Services include: - Surveys for asbestos, heavy metals, lead, mold, and PCBs - Abatement, remediation, and mitigation design - Air and exposure monitoring - Environmental and safety compliance audits - Construction oversight and safety observations - Waste handling recommendations, chemical safety, bioremediation - Health and safety plan development, emergency planning and response - Cost estimating, contractor submittal review, and compliance inspections - Laboratory analysis for asbestos and lead, and third-party equipment rental (e.g., XRF, mercury vapor analyzer, infrared camera) may be required - Requirements: - Firms must be licensed and certified in Washington State with at least five years of relevant experience - Personnel must include Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH), AHERA-certified asbestos inspectors, project designers, management planners, EPA-certified lead workers, certified asbestos supervisors, lead risk assessors, and 40-hour HAZWOPER-trained staff - Insurance, bonding, and compliance with state laws are mandatory - Emphasis on business equity goals, including MWBE participation and reporting via Access Equity (B2Gnow) - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the opportunity is open to qualified consulting firms - Pricing: - Hourly rates for services, with rates fixed for the initial term and subject to adjustment at renewal - Fees negotiated per project - Place of Performance: - University of Washington campuses in Seattle, Bothell, and Tacoma

Description

The University of Washington is soliciting proposals from experienced and certified firms to provide on-call regulated and hazardous materials professional services. These services include surveys, abatement, remediation and mitigation design, air and exposure monitoring, environmental and safety compliance audits, construction oversight, and related consulting for various construction projects. Firms must have certified personnel in industrial hygiene, asbestos, lead work, and hazardous waste operations, and be insured and bonded appropriately. The contract supports the Project Delivery Group in the UW Facilities department and is open to qualified firms available to work in Washington State.
