Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Strategic Acquisition Center – Frederick (SAC-F), has awarded Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) 36C10X26A0004 to Philips North America LLC for enterprise-wide digital telepathology service maintenance support.

The requirement includes preventive and corrective maintenance, system updates/upgrades, replacement parts, and technical support for proprietary digital pathology scanners, image management systems (IMS), and associated server infrastructure deployed across VA Medical Centers.

This BPA supports the VA Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (PLM) Program Office and ensures continued system performance, FDA compliance, and operational readiness of telepathology capabilities.

This action was awarded on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The equipment and systems are proprietary to Philips, and only the original equipment manufacturer is capable of providing the required maintenance and support services without unacceptable risk to system integrity and patient care.

This BPA does not obligate funds. Funding will occur at the call order level.
