The Regional District of Central Okanagan is seeking expressions of interest and conducting a market sounding exercise to gather feedback from private sector contractors involved in waste collection services. The intent is to prepare for a public Request for Proposals in Summer 2026 to select a contractor for a ten-year curbside waste collection program starting May 1, 2029. The program covers garbage and yard waste collection from approximately 65,383 single-family homes across multiple municipalities and electoral areas within the Central Okanagan region.
