The USDA Forest Service is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive upgrades, installations, and maintenance for Dam Early Warning Systems (EWS) and rain gauges across 18 high hazard dams in seven National Forests. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, CSA East 13 office (Atlanta, GA) - OEMs and Vendors: - Sutron (specified for rain gauges) - Products and Services Requested: - Installation, upgrade, and repair of Early Warning Systems (EWS) at 18 dam sites - Includes installation of water level sensors, rain gauges, solar power upgrades (27Ah battery, 20W solar panel), and satellite/cellular communications setup - Sutron 0.5 mm/tip rain gauges specified for all sites - Cleaning, calibration, and servicing of rain gauge sensors - System verification and alarm confirmation - Specific line items include: - Upgrade/install EWS and rain gauges at Deer Creek, Springs Valley, Wakely Lake, Lake Sherwood, Structure #12 (Dutchman), and others - Clean, calibrate, and service 5 rain gauge sensors at Mark Twain National Forest - Repair EWS at Lake Sherwood - Quantities: - 18 installations/upgrades (one per dam site) - 5 rain gauge sensors to be serviced at Mark Twain National Forest - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Contractor must provide all equipment and cover travel expenses - Forest Service will pay for data transmission fees - Contractor responsible for calibration, system verification, and alarm confirmation - Work covers multiple states and remote federal facilities - Place of Performance: - Hoosier, Huron-Manistee, Mark Twain, Monongahela, Shawnee, Wayne, and White Mountain National Forests, plus specific dam sites within these forests - Estimated Contract Value: - $100,000 to $250,000

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
Solicitation number 12445526Q0029 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Region 09 Dam Early Warning System. The Hoosier, Huron-Manistee, Mark Twain, Monongahela, Shawnee, Wayne and White Mountain National Forest requires Dam Early Warning Systems.
This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns.
