ARPA-H STOMP Program Solicitation: Advanced Microplastics Measurement and Toxicity Research

The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) is soliciting proposals for the Systematic Targeting of MicroPlastics (STOMP) program, focusing on developing advanced measurement and analysis methods for micro- and nano-plastics (MNPs) in human samples and understanding their health impacts. - Program seeks innovative research and clinical solutions in two main technical areas: - Technical Area 1: Develop best-in-class and clinical quantification methods for MNPs in human and animal samples, including a large-scale clinical study across multiple sites. - Technical Area 2: Study bioaccumulation, health impacts, and mechanisms of MNP toxicity using animal and cellular models. - Solicitation is open to universities, non-profits, and businesses (excluding FFRDCs and government entities as performers). - No specific OEMs, products, or part numbers are specified; focus is on research and service deliverables. - Key deliverables include validated measurement techniques, clinical study data, and mechanistic insights into MNP toxicity. - The program is structured in two 30-month phases (total 60 months), with future opportunities for removal technology development (TA3). - Place of performance includes at least three geographically distinct clinical sites and program meetings in Washington, DC. - Attachments provide detailed solicitation, sample agreement, cost proposal template, and task description.

The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) is posting this Innovative Solutions Opening (ISO) in support of the Systematic Targeting Of MicroPlastics (STOMP) Program. ARPA-H anticipates multiple Other Transaction (OT) Agreements will result from this announcement. Interested parties are invited to review the STOMP_ISO_ARPA-H-SOL-26-152 and assciated attachments.
