FAA Roof Replacement at San Luis Obispo ATCT

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a contractor to perform a comprehensive roof replacement at the San Luis Obispo Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) in California. - Government Buyer: - Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Transportation - Regional Acquisitions Services (AAQ-500), Western Service Area Engineering Services - Scope of Work: - Remove and replace the existing ATCT cab roof (approx. 361 sq. ft.) - Install a new Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) membrane roofing system, including vapor retarder and insulation - Install a galvanized roof hatch guardrail kit with self-closing gate for code compliance - Remove and replace all roof drains and the roof hatch - Relocate grounding counterpoise from the roof to the parapet wall - Daily removal and disposal of debris and trash per local and state requirements - Comply with all FAA safety, security, and quality assurance regulations - Provide a 5-year warranty on roofing work - Coordinate work with local air traffic control - Products/Materials: - TPO membrane roofing system (approx. 361 sq. ft.) - Roof hatch guardrail kit (galvanized, self-closing gate) - Roof drains and roof hatch - Unique Requirements: - Strict adherence to FAA safety and security protocols - Work hours limited to weekdays, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, unless otherwise approved - Performance period is 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed, with work to be completed within 30 days of start - 5-year warranty required - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are named; open to qualified roofing contractors - Place of Performance: - San Luis Obispo ATCT, 903 1 Airport Dr, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 - San Luis Obispo Municipal Airport, 925 Airport Drive, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

Description

The Subcontractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and all other services required to replace the roof at ATCT at SBP. Attached drawings are for reference only, Approximate quantities ATCT Cab roof 361 sq. ft.

The scope of work includes but not limited to: •  Remove and dispose of existing roofing system from the SBP ATCT cab roof. •  Provide and install roof hatch guardrail kit with self closing gate, galvanized finish. to meet code compliance. •  Remove and replace all roof drains. •  Remove and replace roof hatch •  Remove and relocate grounding counterpoise from roof to parapet wall. •  Remove debris and trash generated from work and dispose of the debris per local and state requirements, daily.
