The Department of Defense, through Washington Headquarters Services and the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), is seeking vendor support for a Family Member Update (FMU) event in Detroit, Michigan. - Government Buyer: - Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Acquisition Directorate - Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or named vendors are identified in the requirements - Products/Services Requested: - Meeting space and facilities for approximately 450 attendees - Minimum three-star hotel within 5 miles of Detroit, handicap accessible, near food establishments - Ballroom and breakout rooms with specified configurations - Audio visual support - Projectors, screens, microphones, sound systems, HDMI/VGA connections, internet, and on-site AV technician - Light refreshments for all attendees - Custodial and sanitation services (cleaning, hand sanitizer, sanitized glassware, napkins, plates, utensils) - Event management, supervision, and labor for setup, coordination, and on-site support - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All event infrastructure and support must be provided for a single-day event - Facility must be handicap accessible and located within 5 miles of Detroit - Emphasis on high-quality AV support and hospitality services - Advance coordination and ordering required up to 24 days prior to the event

Description

The Contractor shall furnish facilities, furniture, equipment and supplies, management, supervision, and labor to provide meeting space, audio video support, and light refreshments for the Detroit, Michigan Family Member Update (FMU) in support of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA). The purpose for the FMU is to meet with family members of missing servicemen from WWII, the Korean War, the Cold War, and the Vietnam War and brief them on the U.S. government’s efforts to recover their loved one’s remains and return them to their families for burial with full military honors.
