Description

This temporary rule provides notification of the 2026 Rockfish Program cooperative allocations as part of the final 2026 and 2027 harvest specifications for groundfish in the Gulf of Alaska. The rule implements harvest specifications and catch limits for various groundfish species, allowing commercial fishermen to maximize economic opportunities. The allocations are based on applications received and comply with the Fishery Management Plan for Groundfish of the Gulf of Alaska. The rule is effective from April 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026.
