This notice announces the intended disposition of human remains and associated funerary objects from the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri, in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The disposition prioritizes lineal descendants, Indian Tribes, or Native Hawaiian organizations. The remains and objects were recovered from several archaeological sites and include multiple individuals and thousands of associated funerary objects. Claims for disposition must be submitted by April 2, 2027, with disposition occurring on or after May 4, 2026.
