Description
The Hennepin County Library (HCL) intends to repatriate a cultural item classified as an object of cultural patrimony under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The item is a wood carved doll donated by Isabel McLaughlin and has a cultural affiliation with the Wyandotte Nation. Repatriation may occur on or after May 4, 2026, and requests for repatriation can be submitted by lineal descendants or affiliated Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations.
