The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI), on behalf of the Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing & Technology Center (RIA-JMTC), is soliciting a front-loading, double chamber, two-door, stationary, electrically powered billet furnace for forging operations. - Government Buyer: - Department of Defense, Army, Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing & Technology Center (RIA-JMTC) - Contracting office: ACC ROCK ISLAND, Rock Island, IL - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation or attachments - Products/Services Requested: - 1 front-loading, double chamber, two-door, stationary, electrically powered billet furnace - Must meet SAE AMS 2750H Class 5 and NFPA 86 Class A oven standards - Operating temperature: 1800-2300°F - Capable of heating 12 steel billets (50 lbs each) to 2300°F within 40 minutes - Includes power conditioner, Allen Bradley PLC, thermocouples, controls, gauges, and insulation - Training for operators, programmers, maintenance, and methods personnel (total of 13 personnel) - Service and support: English-speaking staff, telephone support, 48-hour on-site response, and maintenance parts availability - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Strict security and IT requirements: no network connections, controlled access - On-site training at Rock Island Arsenal using the purchased equipment - Service support must provide on-site response within 48 hours - Place of Performance/Delivery: - Building 222 Annex, Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing & Technology Center (RIA-JMTC), Rock Island, IL
