Metro-North Railroad is seeking bids for two Hi-Rail All Terrain Cranes for use on electrified mainline and yard tracks. - Government Buyer: - MTA - Metro-North Railroad, Procurement and Material Management division - Office of Senior Equipment Engineer, Office of Director, Track & Structures - OEMs and Vendors: - Grove (referenced as GCD25 or approved equal) - No other specific OEMs named; open to equivalent manufacturers meeting requirements - Products/Services Requested: - Two (2) 25 Ton Carry Deck Hi-Rail Cranes - Example: Grove GCD25 or Metro-North approved equal - Must feature 70-foot telescopic boom, 360-degree rotation, hydraulic outriggers, LMI system, telematics, and comprehensive safety equipment - Designed for 56.5" track gauge and operation in electrified railway environments - Includes operator, parts, and service manuals, spare filters - Training and Commissioning Services - Up to five days of formal instruction for operation, inspection, service, and repair - Up to 40 hours of technician support for commissioning and in-service adjustments - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Manufacturer must have at least ten years of experience supplying lattice boom rail cranes for railroad applications - Vendors must show completion of at least three similar contracts in the past five years - Cranes must comply with FRA, OSHA, AISC, ASTM, NEC, ANSI, and all relevant federal/state regulations - Minimum three-year engine warranty required - Delivery and offloading to Metro-North Work Equipment Facility in North White Plains, NY, are the bidder's responsibility - Optional equipment and accessories may be quoted separately - Delivery Location: - Metro-North Work Equipment Facility, 355 Parkway Homes Rd., North White Plains, NY 10603
