Description

The United States Air Force (USAF), Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) Operations Directorate (CO), Tyndall AFB, FL has a requirement to provide Power System Modeling and Analysis services at various Air Force installations. The contractor shall provide all labor, software, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to collect field data related to the electrical distribution system and develop and/or update a comprehensive electrical model of each installation's power system. The contractor shall also use the electrical model to perform a power flow analysis, cross connect capability evaluation, short circuit study, single point of failure (SPOF) for all generator locations, protective device coordination study, arc flash hazard analysis and distribution system reliability for installations as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). In accordance with (IAW) the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, Article 130.5, Arc Flash Risk Assessment, must be reviewed periodically at intervals not to exceed five (5) years to account for changes in the electrical system (energized electrical conductors and circuit parts) which may affect the arc flash hazard risk at Air Force installations.
