The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking qualified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) to upgrade the TV system at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. - Project scope: - Upgrade from analog to digital TV system across multiple buildings - Install approximately 6000 linear feet of OM3 multimode fiber optic cable (50/125 microns, aqua jacket) - Install CAT6A Ethernet cabling (green jacket), cable raceways, EMT and flex conduit, junction boxes, J-hooks, and related hardware - Remove existing coaxial cable boxes and install new combination data/coax outlets - Assemble and install up to 40 networking cable mitigation boards (fire-rated plywood, painted) - Install up to 45 fiber distribution boxes for single and multi-mode cables - Assemble and install up to 35 networking racks, up to 45 rack-mounted uninterrupted power supplies (UPS), up to 40 rack-mounted ethernet switches, up to 80 fiber optic transceivers, and up to 45 rack-mounted keystone patch panels - Government-furnished equipment includes EX4100-48T-AFI Ethernet Switches, Smart-UPS 1500VA Rack-Mountable UPS units, QuickPort High-Density 1RU 48-Port Patch Panels, SFP+ Transceivers, and Pivoting Wall Mounted Rack Cabinets - Notable requirements: - Hilti FS-1 fire caulk (sole source) required for firestopping raceway penetrations - Compliance with NEC, VA standards, safety, infection control, and OSHA training for project manager and subcontractors - Coordination with other disciplines and protection of existing facilities - Place of performance: John D.
