Description

This is a pre-solicitation announcement for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 intends to release a Request for Quote (RFQ) for project 652-22-704 Installation of NextGen WIFI to install conduit and CAT6 cabling at the Central VA Health Care system in Richmond, VA. The contractor will provide all transportation, materials, parts, tools, specialized equipment, labor, supervision, and technical expertise to install conduit and CAT 6 cabling as listed in Scope of Work (SOW). This announcement is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210 with a size standard of $19 million dollars. IAW FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000.
The approximate solicitation issue date is April 16th, 2026. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract within 120 days from quote receipt date. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of quotes. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to bring all necessary personnel, inclusive of subcontractors, tooling, and materials necessary to any site visit. The government will NOT be providing paper copies of any solicitation, solicitation attachments or annexes, specifications, or drawings. The government will NOT be reimbursing any costs associated with attendance or quote preparation. To be eligible for award, the SDVOSB must be registered and verified in the Small Business Administration Dynamic Small Business Search (SBA DSBS) following website: https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/. Potential offerors are further advised that failure to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database will render your firm ineligible for award.
