Page 1 of 4 Page 1 of This solicitation is to inform potential offerors that Batavia, NY VA Medical Center will be posting a solicitation (36C24226B0053) on or about April 15, 2026, for Clinic Renovations. All work is to be performed at the Batavia, NY VA Medical Center.
General scope of work includes:
The general scope of this project is to replace walls, millwork, flooring, finishes, ceilings, etc. at the Batavia VAMC Clinical Areas on the ground floor of Building 1 that had multiple sanitary piping issues and need demolition and renovation. The pipes have had some work on them on a previous contract and demolition has been completed to remove all affected walls, floors and millwork from the space.
The contractor should be aware that this area will still be a functioning Clinical Outpatient Care Area for Veterans, and we cannot shut down. Infection Control, Safety and Noise Control is critical in this area. Some of the work shall be at night, or weekends to reduce the impact on patient care.
A brief overview of the construction work will be included with SOW in the solicitation.
It has been determined that there are enough qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Own Small Business (SDVOSB) firms that are capable of performing under NAICS Code 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a size standard of $45.0M. Therefore, this procurement is 100% set-aside for SDVOSB. The magnitude of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Information regarding the scheduled site visit will be stated in the Solicitation. Bid bonding will be required to respond to this IFB once released. It is anticipated that this contract will be awarded o/a May 2026.

Solicitation materials consisting of the information for bid details, specifications, drawings, and contract forms will be available on http://www.sam.gov in electronic format only. Should be available on or about April 15, 2026.
SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http://www.sam.gov. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. No other notification of amendments will be provided. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation by the time of bid opening.
Once the solicitation is released, bids will be accepted electronically only, due to ongoing safety concerns regarding the COVID -19 pandemic.
