Lheidli T’enneh First Nation is seeking qualified engineering consultants to perform the detailed design of the Fraser River Bridge and its roadway approaches. The project scope includes environmental and archaeological assessments, geotechnical investigations, structural and hydrotechnical design, access road design, permitting, tender package preparation, and support for funding applications. The bridge concept is a two-lane, four-span, approximately 320-metre steel girder bridge with a separated pedestrian walkway, designed to CAN/CSA S6 standards with a 75-year design life and CL-800 live loading at 50 km/h design speed.
