Lheidli T’enneh First Nation is seeking proposals from qualified engineering consultants for the detailed design of the Fraser River Bridge and its roadway approaches. The project scope includes environmental and archaeological assessments, geotechnical investigations, structural and hydrotechnical design, access road design, permitting, tender package preparation, and support for funding applications. The bridge concept is a two-lane, four-span, approximately 320-metre steel girder bridge with a pedestrian walkway, designed to CAN/CSA S6 standards with a 75-year service life and CL-800 live loading at 50 km/h design speed. These parameters may be refined during the detailed design phase.
