Wichita Falls Independent School District (WFISD) is seeking qualified vendors for a comprehensive refresh and elevator modernization at Zundy Elementary School. - Government Buyer: - Wichita Falls Independent School District (WFISD), Purchasing Department - OEMs and Vendors: - Approved elevator manufacturers: TK Elevator (TKE), Aspen Elevator, Otis - Products and Equipment Requested: - Full modernization of the existing hydraulic elevator, including: - TK Elevator TAC 32H controller and components - LD-16 Plus door operators and car-side equipment - EP-60 submersible power unit with biodegradable hydraulic oil - Car equipment and fixtures (ADA phone, emergency light, vandal-resistant buttons, etc.) - Hall stations, selector tape, pit equipment, and miscellaneous modernization materials - Replacement of all existing lighting with new LED fixtures (except in specified areas) - One-for-one replacement of approximately 40 LED exit signs - Foundation stabilization with steel piers and compaction grouting - Services Requested: - Turnkey delivery including all permits, materials, labor, tools, and equipment - Limited demolition and removal of equipment - Painting and ceiling refresh throughout the campus - Elevator modernization services: survey, demolition, installation, wiring, testing, commissioning, and closeout - On-site training for owner maintenance staff - Fire alarm device relocation and field engineering/surveying as needed - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Only approved elevator OEMs (TK Elevator, Aspen Elevator, Otis) may be used for modernization - All work must be completed in time for the campus to reopen for the school year; elevator modernization may extend beyond the general refresh - Foundation stabilization must meet specified load requirements - Best value selection criteria (not just lowest price); compliance with prevailing wage, bonds, and insurance - Vendors must submit both qualifications and pricing proposals in a two-step process

The Wichita Falls Independent School District (WFISD) is soliciting qualifications and competitive sealed proposals for two projects at the existing Zundy Campus: a Refresh project and an Elevator Modernization project. The Refresh project involves limited demolition, painting, ceiling and lighting refresh, and miscellaneous items to prepare the campus for reopening in August 2026.
