The Wyoming State Construction Department is soliciting Statements of Qualifications for the design and construction of a secure microgrid system at the Cheyenne Readiness Center Complex. The project includes a 1-megawatt photovoltaic solar array, 4 megawatts of natural gas generators, a 300kW/300kWh Battery Energy Storage System, and a 9,500 million BTU geothermal field to ensure resilient and redundant power and HVAC loads. The microgrid will provide islanding capabilities to maintain mission-critical operations during outages for up to 14 days.
