Architectural and Engineering Services for Waxhaw Skate Park Renovation

The Town of Waxhaw Parks & Recreation Department is seeking qualified design teams for a comprehensive update and renovation of the Waxhaw Skate Park (Sk8 Park): - Government Buyer: - Town of Waxhaw, Parks & Recreation Department (Union County, NC) - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or vendors are named in the solicitation - Requested Services: - Full architectural and engineering services for skate park renovation - Soil testing, surveying, and site analysis - Stakeholder and public engagement, including community meetings - Design and modeling for a 13,500 sq. ft. skate area accommodating skateboards, scooters, in-line and quad skates, and all skill levels - Preparation of construction documents, permitting, and construction administration - Cost estimation, phasing, and implementation planning - Deliverables in both printed and digital formats - Site amenities to include ADA accessibility, lighting, seating, water, public art, and a wall for urban artists - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Design must address ADA compliance and environmental considerations - Emphasis on community involvement and stakeholder engagement - Proposals must not include total project pricing, only standard hourly rates - Minority, women, and disabled business enterprises are encouraged to participate - Project may expand to adjacent parcels as they become available - Place of Performance: - Downtown Waxhaw, Union County, North Carolina (specific parcels and addresses provided)
