The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a notification of proposed determination regarding energy conservation standards for fluorescent lamp ballasts (FLBs). After review, DOE tentatively determined that amending the current standards would not be cost-effective and therefore should not be amended. The notice requests public comments on this proposed determination and associated analyses, with a comment deadline of June 1, 2026. A webinar is also announced to discuss the proposal.
