This opportunity involves the lease of a 25-ton heavy duty forklift to support U.S. Army ammunition logistics in Germany. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army Contracting Command Europe and Africa, 409th Contracting Support Brigade (CSB), KO Directorate of Contracting - Ammunition Center Europe (ACE) - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are mandated, but Konecranes (model SMV 25-1200 C or equal) is referenced as a technical standard - Products/Services Requested: - Lease of one heavy duty forklift, 25-ton capacity, diesel-powered (minimum 185 kW, EU Stage 4/Tier 4f) - Must be no older than 2 years and have less than 2,000 working hours - Must include pneumatic tires, fully enclosed air-conditioned cabin, and advanced safety features (rollover protection, backup alarms, operator presence system) - Accessories: LED lights, warning beacon, reverse alarm, raised cabin, centralized lubrication, electronic weighing system, back-up camera, electronic joystick with RPM control, hydro-pneumatic accumulator/vibration damper - Technical documentation in German and English; CE conformity declaration required - Maintenance and repair services for the leased forklift, including roadside assistance, recovery, and provision of a replacement forklift within 24 hours if the original is inoperable for 48+ hours - User training for up to 10 personnel, in German, at the delivery location within 10 days of delivery - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Forklift must be delivered to Miesau Army Depot and be capable of supporting ammunition storage and demilitarization operations - Contractor must demonstrate ability to deliver forklift parts within 10 business days - Equipment must meet strict age and usage limits (≤2 years old, ≤2,000 hours) - All maintenance, repair, and training must be included in the lease - Period of performance is four consecutive 12-month lease periods (totaling 4 years), with delivery and inspection at Daenner Kaserne, Kaiserslautern, Germany.

Description

The 409th CSB, Theater Contracting Center is publishing this presolicitation for the lease of one 25-ton capacity forklift, without operator, to support TLSC-E/ A and Ammunition Center Europe (ACE) operations at Kaiserslautern (Germany). The forklift will be used for the safe handling, movement, and staging of heavy ammunition containers and related materials in support of ongoing logistics and training missions.
