Sole Source Procurement of Transonic HD03 Hemodialysis Flow System for Providence VA Medical Center

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to procure specialized hemodialysis monitoring equipment for the Providence VA Medical Center in Rhode Island. - Sole-source, firm-fixed price procurement to Transonic Systems, Inc. - Equipment required: - 2 Transonic HD03 Hemodialysis Flow System Monitors (part number HD03) - 2 H4FX Sensors for the HD03 (part number H4FX) - 2 Patient MEAS MOD units without Patient ID input (part number PMM) - Only Transonic Systems, Inc. equipment is considered acceptable due to unique capabilities and compatibility requirements - The HD03 is noted as the only standalone portable monitor that does not require additional IV lines, ensuring optimal dialysis treatment quality - Interested parties may submit capability statements, but the government intends to proceed with Transonic as the sole source - Place of performance is the Providence VA Medical Center, with contracting offices in Maine and Massachusetts

Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304 (C)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.103-1(b) and 6.103-1(d), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements and brand-name descriptions.

The Department of Veterans Affairs Providence Medical Center, 830 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, RI requires a Transonic HD03 Hemodialysis Flow System.

The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Transonic Systems, Inc. for the following:

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government's intent to award on a sole source basis.

Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will benefit the Government.
