  • Provision and operation of temporary steam generating facilities to maintain hospital steam load
  • Geotechnical engineering (foundation design, soil testing)
  • Asbestos and lead paint surveys
  • Commissioning services for HVAC, steam, and fuel systems
  • Comprehensive modernization of the hydraulic freight elevator (52-58 weeks duration)

• Unique or Notable Requirements

  • Integration with existing hospital systems and controls
  • Compliance with VA design manuals, Miami-Dade NOA standards, and physical security/codes
  • Maintenance of uninterrupted steam supply to the hospital during construction
  • Specialized experience in steam plant construction required
  • Deep foundation design (augered cast-in-place piles)
  • Safety, environmental, and quality control standards (asbestos/lead paint abatement)

This is an Unrestricted Solicitation for Project No.: 546-22-110 - Construct a New Boiler Building and Controls& Expand/Move the Graphic Control.  

In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and applicable Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) provisions, this procurement is being conducted as an unrestricted solicitation and is open to all qualified businesses regardless of size or socioeconomic status. No set-aside requirements apply to this solicitation. All qualified vendors are invited to submit proposals.
