NASA is seeking a sole source contractor to modify the X-ray source and detector of its Large Volume Computed Tomographic (LVCT) system at Langley Research Center (LaRC) to support Mars Sample Return Earth Entry Vehicle evaluation. - Sole source procurement with NIKON METROLOGY, LLC as the only qualified provider - Scope includes: - Engineering, design, and fabrication of hardware to raise the LVCT system's X-ray source and detector by 6 inches - Delivery, installation, calibration, and verification testing to ensure system performance at the new height - Quality assurance, material certifications, and engineering documentation - Work will be performed at NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton, VA - Period of performance is 6 months from task issuance - NAICS code: 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) - Interested parties may submit qualifications by April 1, 2026, for potential future competition
