Description
The U.S. Army STTR program is seeking proposals for the development of new micro-LED architectures that achieve high external quantum efficiency (>2%) for red micro-LEDs with pixel sizes less than 5 microns. The project aims to overcome technical challenges such as efficiency droop and surface recombination, while avoiding traditional sidewall passivation methods. Phase I focuses on proof-of-concept development, with subsequent phases targeting prototype fabrication and productization for military and commercial applications including AR/VR.
