Description
Marshall University has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory includes remains of 27 Native American individuals and 26 associated funerary objects from various sites in West Virginia. The university has determined cultural affiliations with multiple Indian Tribes and Native Hawaiian organizations and invites written requests for repatriation, which may occur on or after April 27, 2026.
