Description

The Province of Alberta, through the Alberta Surgical Initiative, is undertaking upgrades to increase surgical capacity and modernize surgical services. This project involves the interior fit-out of one shelled Operating Room and associated support spaces at the Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary. The hospital is a 160-bed pediatric care facility with an existing Level 3 Surgical Suite of eight ORs that will remain operational during construction. The project requires careful coordination to ensure patient safety, infection control, noise and vibration control, and minimal impact on hospital operations, with a specific phasing requirement to complete the Storage Room before the OR.
