Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather guidance, product availability details, and forward-looking manufacturer plans related to light duty vehicles that will support the operational needs of their schools. This is in response to recent manufacturer decisions to discontinue several vehicle models currently used in the PWCS fleet, including the Ford Escape, Ford Fusion, Ford Lightning F 150, and Chevrolet Malibu. The RFI aims to comprehensively review alternative vehicle options to support instructional, security, and operational functions within the school system. Responses are to be submitted by April 27, 2026, and the solicitation is managed by Karen Sobers of Prince William County Schools.
