Description

Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), operated by Brookhaven Science Associates (BSA) for the U.S. Department of Energy, is issuing this Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes only. This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this notice.

BNL is seeking information from qualified vendors capable of providing water cooler cleaning, sanitization, inspection, and maintenance services at its Upton, New York site.

The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment necessary to service approximately 160 water cooler units, including both bottled and plumbed-in systems. Services include cleaning and sanitizing internal reservoirs, drip trays, dispensing components, and external surfaces; inspecting units for operational issues; replacing filters as applicable; and documenting all work performed.

Routine services are expected to be performed at a minimum frequency of once every six (6) months per unit. In addition, the contractor shall be capable of providing on-demand cleaning and maintenance services within five (5) business days when requested.

All work must comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, CDC, and Department of Energy (DOE) requirements, as well as Brookhaven National Laboratory Environment, Safety, and Health (ESH) standards. Contractor personnel must be able to meet site access, safety training, and hazard analysis requirements prior to performing work.

The anticipated period of performance is one (1) base year with potential option period(s).

Interested vendors are requested to submit capability statements demonstrating their experience with similar services, particularly in laboratory, healthcare, or other regulated environments. Vendors should also provide business size status, relevant past performance, quality assurance capabilities (e.g., ISO 9001 or equivalent), and a general description of their pricing approach.

BNL will use the information received to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy, including whether a set-aside is feasible and the level of competition available.
