This opportunity seeks suppliers for airfield paving materials and quality control services at Avon Park Air Force Range, FL. - Government Buyer: - Department of Defense, Department of the Air Force, Air Mobility Command, 6th Contracting Squadron (FA4814 6 CONS PK) - Products/Services Requested: - Approximately 8,001 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Intermediate Course, Type B with PG 67-22 binder, delivered at a minimum of 290°F - 1,960 gallons of Bituminous Tack Coat and 6,200 gallons of Bituminous Prime Coat, conforming to UFGS 32.12.13 - Field and laboratory quality control testing, including sampling and testing of cores from each 1,000 ton lot for JMF deviations in Laboratory Air Voids and Stability - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs are required or named for the asphalt or coatings - Sierra Nevada Corporation is mentioned for distributor verification, but not as an OEM for these materials - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Deliveries may be required nights and weekends - Contractor must provide all plant, labor, materials, design, and supervision - Minimum production capability of 500 tons per 8-hour workday - Strict quality control and sampling/testing per government specifications - Place of Performance: - Avon Park Air Force Range, Avon Park, FL (Hotel Taxiway)

Description

This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for market research purposes only. This Is Not A Request For Proposal, Quotation Or Invitation for Bid. No Solicitation Is Currently Available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this sources sought announcement.  The Government will not be held accountable for any costs incurred in response to this sources sought announcement

The Contractor shall provide all plant, labor, material, design and supervision to provide and deliver approximately 8,001 tons of hot mix asphalt (HMA), and 8,072 gallons of Bituminous Tack and Prime Coats.  Contractor shall also provide field and laboratory quality control testing, as required by the Government. Please see attached SOW for more information. 

All interested, capable and qualified contractors are encouraged to reply to this sources sought notice. Interested contractors are requested to submit a narrative demonstrating their experience in projects of similar nature as described in the SOW. Narratives shall be no longer than 4 pages. All responses are required to be emailed to the point of contact (POC) listed below.

All interested parties are requested to provide the following information in their response:

(3) Email address and phone number of the main point of contact

(4) Business size, socio-economic status and Cage Code

(6) Narrative explaining your interest, capability and qualification to meet this requirement

(7) Any additional information that is pertinent to this requirement that the Government should be made aware of.
