BREC is seeking proposals for the design, furnishing, installation, maintenance, and removal of holiday lighting and lantern displays for the annual ZooLights event at Baton Rouge Zoo. - Government Buyer: - Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC) - Place of performance: BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo, 3601 Thomas Road, Baton Rouge, LA - Products/Services Requested: - Turnkey holiday lighting and lantern displays, including: - Wrapping a minimum of 25 oak trees, 12 crepe myrtles, and 4 palms (with more trees available) - Swag lights on fencing - Light and/or lantern displays throughout the zoo - Installation, maintenance, and timely response for repairs during the event - Removal and reuse of lighting materials after the season - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Creative, inclusive holiday designs (no religious themes) - Consideration for wildlife and zoo operations - Flexibility for vendors to propose innovative concepts within budget and infrastructure constraints - Contract may be extended for up to three additional annual seasons (maximum four years) - Proposals should encourage reuse of materials in line with conservation goals - No specific OEMs, vendors, part numbers, or quantities for lighting products are specified - Estimated budget is $250,000, but flexible based on design and scope
