The U.S. Air Force's 48th Rescue Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base is seeking to procure VALD Health performance assessment technologies as a sole source acquisition from VALD Group Inc. - Sole source procurement for VALD Health Performance System and related devices - Includes ForceDecks (dual force plates), DynaMo Max (handheld dynamometer and inclinometer), DynaMo Max Expansion Package, and ForceFrame Max Strength Testing System - Devices will be used to standardize quantitative data collection for the Human Performance Optimization program - Emphasis on interoperability with existing VALD equipment, data reliability, and administrative efficiency - No part numbers or quantities specified in the notice - Place of performance is Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, Arizona (ZIP 85707) - Only VALD Group Inc. is considered as the OEM; government does not possess data to allow competition - Interested parties may submit capability statements, but award will not be delayed for source approval - No competitive proposals are being solicited at this time

Intent to sole source to VALD Group Inc, for health performance assesment technologies.

This is not a solicitation and quotes are not being accepted at the moment.

48th RQS is requesting the procurement of a VALD Health System. 

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Government intends to solicit to procure the below listed item. The Government does not possess or cannot provide the data necessary to manufacture the item:

VALD Health Performance System

All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within 3 work days after date of publication of this sources sought notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Approval of a source is required. 355 CONS will not delay award while Source Approval is pending.

The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. 

This notice serves as the synopsis and notice of intent to sole-source. The Government does not possess the necessary information to manufacture the equipment/items solicited hereunder from any source other than the OEM.
