NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk is seeking Caterpillar brand-authorized preventative maintenance services for critical power equipment at the Naval Cyber Defense Operations Command (NCDOC). - Government Buyer: - Department of the Navy, Department of Defense - NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Norfolk Contracting Department, Fleet Directorate - OEMs and Vendors: - Caterpillar (OEM for generators and switchgear) - Carter Machinery Company, Inc. (sole authorized local provider and service vendor) - Products/Services Requested: - Preventative maintenance services for three Caterpillar generators and CAT ISO switchgear (serial number SWG35574) - Includes quarterly, annual, and tri-annual scheduled maintenance - Emergency non-scheduled maintenance - Extended warranty coverage - Services must be performed by a Caterpillar-certified provider with a four-hour response time - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Sole source justification: Only Carter Machinery Company, Inc. is authorized and certified locally to provide these services - Maintenance must be performed on-site at NCDOC - Contract includes a 12-month base period and four 12-month option years

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to solicit and award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAVSUP FLC intends to solicit and award a sole source contract for services related to Caterpillar Generator Maintenance to Carter Machiney Company, Inc. See the attached sole source justification for additional information regarding the sole source justification. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is soleyl within the discretion of the Government.
