Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE.

The Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to award a firm-fixed-price order on a sole source basis to Teletrix Corporation for procurement, installation, and integration of VIZRAD Frisker and VIZRAD AR systems to support the Naval Undersea Medical Institute (NUMI), per FAR 6.302-1. The Contracting Officer has determined that a sole source award is required. The sole source, Teletrix, are the sole developer, manufacturer, and distributor of the VIZRAD Augmented Reality (AR) Radiation Training System. Additionally, Teletrix holds the patent, copyright, and all proprietary data for the VIZRAD software and its integrated hardware components.

This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901, utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a). The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under these procedures.

The NAICS code is 334519 and the Small Business Standard is 600 (number of employees).

NOTICE OF INTENT:

This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations. Proposals are not being accepted in response to this document. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Any information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this notice.
