The National Institutes of Health (NIH), under the Department of Health and Human Services, is seeking multiple vendors to provide professional, scientific, and technical support services for its research priorities through a large, multi-award IDIQ contract. - Government Buyer: - National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) - Offices involved include the Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations (OLAO) and the Office of Acquisitions - Scope of Services: - Specialized scientific and technical expertise for: - Basic, translational, and clinical research - Vaccine research and development - Laboratory research at biosafety levels BSL-1, BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 - Veterinary and scientific research in animal biosafety levels ABSL-2, ABSL-3, and ABSL-4 - Bioinformatics and computational biology - Clinical trials support, regulatory affairs, and data analysis - Recruitment, retention, and management of specialized personnel (e.g., Animal Biologist, Bioinformatics Scientist, Clinical Advisor, Epidemiologist, Molecular Geneticist, Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacologist, Project Manager, Veterinarian) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Support for high-containment laboratory environments (BSL-3, BSL-4, ABSL-3, ABSL-4) - Wide range of labor categories and scientific disciplines - Services may be required at multiple NIH facilities, including specialized labs - Contract Details: - Multiple-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract - Total portfolio ceiling of $3 billion - Minimum guaranteed order of $2,000 per contract - Base period of 5 years with a possible 6-month extension - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; open to qualified providers of scientific and technical services - Place of Performance: - NIH offices and facilities in Bethesda, MD - Rocky Mountain Laboratory in Hamilton, MT - Washington, DC Metro area - Other NIH and DHHS locations as required
Description
The purpose of the proposed contract is to provide scientific and professional expertise to support NIH's current and emerging research priorities. Support includes specialized scientific expertise related to basic, translational and clinical research; vaccine research and development; general laboratory research at BSL-2, -3, and -4; veterinary and scientific research in ABSL-2, -3 and -4 environments; and bioinformatics and computational biology.
