Description

The Communication Strategy and Operations (COMMSTRAT) Reproduction Department at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego and Western Recruiting Region provides printing and reproduction support for the training and recruitment of Marine Corps recruits, Drill Instructors, Recruiters, and supporting commands aboard the depot. MCRD San Diego trains approximately 17,500 recruits annually and conducts about 40 graduation ceremonies each year, requiring COMMSTRAT to produce roughly 1,000 color graduation programs per week (approximately 40,000 annually). In addition, the department produces printed materials for retirement ceremonies, change of command ceremonies, hosted events, and other command functions and training.

To sustain these operations, the COMMSTRAT finishing system requires a service and maintenance contract. This contract is mission critical to ensure continuous equipment functionality through preventative maintenance, supplies, and on-call repair support, enabling the department to meet ongoing printing requirements and project deadlines for the MCRDSD/WRR command.
